Tetrahydrolipstatin, auch bekannt als Orlistat, ist ein potenter Lipasehemmer, der hauptsächlich zur Behandlung von Fettleibigkeit eingesetzt wird. Es wirkt, indem es die Pankreaslipase hemmt, ein Enzym, das für den Abbau von Nahrungsfetten in absorbierbare freie Fettsäuren verantwortlich ist.
