Beschreibung

Prostacyclin is a potent vasodilator and inhibitor of platelet aggregation. Prostacyclin binds to the prostacyclin receptor on the membrane of vascular smooth muscle cells, which leads to an increase in intracellular concentration of cAMP and activation of soluble guanylate cyclase. The orientation of molecules in the culture plate determines how much light is absorbed by the cells and can be used for cell counting. Cell culture can be carried out by suspending cells in a solution or on a solid surface, such as a dish or tissue culture flask. The use of iontophoresis to deliver drugs into skin tissue has been shown to reduce pain and inflammation, especially in patients with chronic cutaneous inflammatory disease. A cutaneous drug that is effective at terminating an attack may also have an effect on lowering blood pressure or reducing the risk for radiation-induced damage to tissues.
