Beschreibung

Cilostazol is a drug used to treat congestive heart failure and intermittent claudication, which is pain caused by poor blood circulation in the legs. It is a controlled-release preparation that is designed to release cilostazol gradually over 12 hours. Cilostazol has been shown to be effective against neuronal death, which may be due to its ability to inhibit cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterases. The drug also has been shown to increase the production of growth factor-β1 (GF-β1) in vitro models. Cilostazol's effect on the biochemical properties of erythrocytes and platelets have been studied in vivo models.
