Beschreibung:Geraniin is a natural compound that has been shown to have potent anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effects. Geraniin has been shown to inhibit the matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) activity of collagenase in vitro, suggesting that it may be a potential treatment for diseases caused by MMPs such as arthritis. Geraniin also inhibits the production of cytokines such as growth factor-β1 and interleukin-1β. It was also found to control the expression of c-Jun in both human cells and a model system. The administration of geraniin showed no toxicity in rats at doses up to 1,000 mg/kg body weight.
