α-Ciclodextrina es un oligosacárido cíclico compuesto por seis unidades de glucosa unidas por enlaces α-1,4-glicosídicos, formando una estructura toroidal. Es un polvo blanco y cristalino que es soluble en agua, con una solubilidad que aumenta con la temperatura.
