Ácido 9-octadecenoico (9Z)-, éster de 2,3-dihidroxipropilo, comúnmente conocido como oleato de glicerilo, es un éster derivado del ácido oleico y glicerol. Se caracteriza por su larga cadena de hidrocarburo, que contribuye a sus propiedades hidrofóbicas, mientras que la presencia de grupos hidroxilo le confiere cierta hidrofobicidad. Este compuesto generalmente aparece como un líquido incoloro a amarillo pálido y es conocido por sus propiedades emulsionantes y tensioactivas, lo que lo hace útil en diversas formulaciones cosméticas y farmacéuticas. El oleato de glicerilo también es reconocido por su papel como agente acondicionador de la piel, proporcionando beneficios hidratantes.
