Bromuro de tetradeciltrimetilamonio (TTAB) es un compuesto de amonio cuaternario caracterizado por su larga cadena hidrofóbica de tetradecil y un grupo trimetilamonio cargado positivamente. Esta naturaleza anfifílica hace que TTAB sea un surfactante efectivo, permitiéndole reducir la tensión superficial y estabilizar emulsiones. Típicamente aparece como un sólido o polvo blanco a blanco sucio y es soluble en agua, formando micelas a concentraciones más altas.
