Descripción:
La vancomicina hidrocloruro es un antibiótico glucopéptido que se utiliza principalmente para tratar infecciones bacterianas graves, particularmente aquellas causadas por bacterias Gram-positivas, incluyendo Staphylococcus aureus resistente a meticilina (MRSA). Se caracteriza por su estructura compleja, que incluye una serie de aminoácidos y moieties de azúcar que contribuyen a su mecanismo de acción. La vancomicina actúa inhibiendo la síntesis de la pared celular en las bacterias, lo que lleva a la lisis celular y a la muerte.
