    3-(Tributylstannyl)quinoline (3TBQ) is a palladium-catalysed, bifunctional coupling agent for the synthesis of 3-substituted quinolines. It is structurally related to 4-aminobiphenyl, but with an additional tributylstannyl group on the aromatic ring. The presence of this substituent increases the reactivity of 3TBQ towards nucleophilic addition and cycloaddition reactions. 3TBQ has been used as a substrate for protein kinase C and has inhibited the activity of protein kinase C in vitro.
