CD38-IN-5 (compound 1) is a CD38 inhibitor that selectively inhibits CD38 hydrolase with an IC₅₀ of 4.0 μM but does not inhibit CD38 cyclase. It effectively enhances NK cell-mediated tumor cytotoxicity and increases NADH+ and IFNγ levels in activated peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC). CD38-IN-5 is applicable in cancer research.
