CAS:5-cyano-2-methylbenzene-1-sulfonyl chloride (CMS) is a potent and selective inhibitor of the mammalian protein kinase, PI3K. It has been shown to inhibit tumour growth in xenograft models. CMS is able to target human tumours without affecting normal cells, as it does not affect proliferation of human erythrocytes or other cell lines. Furthermore, this drug has been shown to inhibit the growth of tumour cell lines in culture and induce apoptosis in human tumour cells. The selectivity of CMS may be due to its ability to bind only to the phenyl ring portion of the enzyme's substrate.Fórmula:C8H6ClNO2SPureza:Min. 95%Peso molecular:215.65 g/mol
