Descripción:
Nitrendipina es un bloqueador de canales de calcio utilizado principalmente en el tratamiento de la hipertensión y la angina de pecho. Pertenece a la clase de compuestos dihidropiridínicos, que se caracterizan por su capacidad para inhibir selectivamente la entrada de calcio a través de los canales de calcio tipo L en el músculo liso vascular y el tejido cardíaco. Esta acción conduce a la vasodilatación y a una disminución subsiguiente de la presión arterial. Nitrendipina es conocido por su alta lipofilia, lo que mejora su absorción y distribución en el cuerpo. El compuesto generalmente presenta una larga vida media, lo que permite una dosificación una vez al día en entornos clínicos. Su estructura química incluye un grupo nitro, que contribuye a sus propiedades farmacológicas.
