Vinclozolina es un fungicida sistémico utilizado principalmente en la agricultura para controlar diversas enfermedades fúngicas en cultivos. Pertenece a la clase de fungicidas dicarboximida y se caracteriza por su capacidad para inhibir el crecimiento fúngico al interferir con la respiración celular y alterar la síntesis de ácidos nucleicos. Vinclozolin

Vinclozolin is a fungicide and antimicrobial agent. It inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol, an important structural component of fungal cell membranes. Vinclozolin is also a potent anti-androgen that binds to receptors in the prostate and has been shown to have toxic effects on cells in vitro. The compound is used as an analytical reagent for determination of fungicides. In vivo animal studies have shown that vinclozolin has adverse effects on reproductive organs such as testes and prostate, leading to sexual dysfunction and infertility.
