(-)-Epinefrina, también conocido como adrenalina, es una catecolamina y una hormona y neurotransmisor clave en el cuerpo. Se caracteriza por su papel en la respuesta de "lucha o huida", donde prepara al cuerpo para una acción rápida en situaciones estresantes. Químicamente, es una amina con una estructura que incluye un grupo catecol (un anillo de benceno con dos grupos hidroxilo) y una cadena lateral de etilamina.
