Vitamina D4, también conocido como 22-dihidroergocalciferol, es un compuesto esteroide que juega un papel en el metabolismo del calcio y el fósforo en el cuerpo. Es una de las formas menos conocidas de la vitamina D, junto con las más comúnmente reconocidas D2 (ergocalciferol) y D3 (colecalciferol). Vitamina D4 se deriva de levaduras y hongos y se produce a través de la irradiación ultravioleta de ergosterol. Su estructura química presenta un complejo esqueleto esteroide, que es característico de los compuestos de vitamina D.
