It inhibits the activity of tyrosine kinases and has been shown to have synergistic effects when combined with other compounds, such as cisplatin and doxorubicin. AMPS has also been shown to inhibit the growth of human lung cancer cells. AMPS is an inhibitor of family 3 phosphotyrosine protein kinase enzymes, which are involved in cell signaling pathways.
