CAS:Trifluoromethoxyacetic acid is a synthetic drug that has been used to treat inflammatory bowel disease, alopecia and seborrhoea. It is also used as a pharmacological agent for the treatment of autoimmune diseases, such as sclerosis, malignant and bowel disease. Trifluoromethoxyacetic acid has anti-inflammatory properties due to its inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis. This drug has been shown to be effective in treating alopecia areata in rats with an oral dose of 0.5 mg/kg for two weeks, which is comparable to the effect observed with 1 mg/kg of minoxidil (Rogaine). Trifluoromethoxyacetic acid binds to nitrogen atoms on proteins and inhibits protein synthesis, leading to cell death by inhibiting the production of proteins vital for cell division.Fórmula:C3H3F3O3Pureza:Min. 95 Area-%Forma y color:Clear LiquidPeso molecular:144.05 g/mol
