Descripción:
Yoduro de sodio (NaI) es un compuesto inorgánico caracterizado por su apariencia cristalina blanca y alta solubilidad en agua. Está compuesto por cationes de sodio (Na⁺) y aniones de yoduro (I⁻), formando un enlace iónico. Yoduro de sodio es higroscópico, lo que significa que puede absorber humedad del aire, lo que puede afectar su estabilidad y almacenamiento. Se utiliza comúnmente en diversas aplicaciones, incluyendo como fuente de yodo en suplementos nutricionales, en imágenes médicas como un radiofármaco, y en síntesis orgánica como un reactivo.
