It has been shown to have pharmacokinetic properties, such as being readily absorbed by the body and excreted in urine. 4HPPCA has been shown to be effective against cancer cells and nematodes, with inhibitory activities against protrusions and cell proliferation. The inhibitory activity may be due to its ability to interfere with the transposition of DNA segments or hyperproliferative disorders caused by pyridine compounds.
