    Methyl rosmarinate is a natural compound that belongs to the class of polymerase chain inhibitors. It is extracted from the acetate extract of Salvia miltiorrhizae. Methyl rosmarinate has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis. The extract also has antimicrobial activity against bacteria and fungi, as well as an antagonistic effect on other enzyme inhibitors.
