This drug has shown antipsychotic effects through its binding to serotonin reuptake inhibitors and its ability to block dopamine release in the prefrontal cortex. Diphenylprolinol also acts as a potent growth factor by stimulating cell proliferation via activation of protein kinase C (PKC).
