Applications Convallatoxin is a cardenolide that is used in the treatment of congestive heart failure. It may also be used in the treatment of tumor cells at nanomolar concentrations due to its anti-proliferative effects; in particular, human lung cancer. It is naturally found in the roots of Adonis Amurensis.
