Descripción

(R)-Tamsulosin is an antagonist of adrenergic activity through blocking the activity of alpha-1 adrenoreceptors. This property makes Tamsulosin useful to be used as a drug in combination therapy for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and urinary symptoms associated with an enlarged prostate. Tamsulosin has been shown to have a significant effect on BPH symptoms and urinary flow rates, as well as improved quality of life.
