• Descripción: Adenosine cyclic 2',3'-phosphate 5'-phosphate is an inhibitor that has been shown to induce apoptosis in cancer cells. It is a urinary metabolite of nifedipine, an anti-hypertensive drug. Adenosine cyclic 2',3'-phosphate 5'-phosphate has anticancer activity and can inhibit protein kinase A, which plays a role in tumor growth and progression. This compound is an analog of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) and can compete with cAMP for binding to regulatory subunits of protein kinases. Adenosine cyclic 2',3'-phosphate 5'-phosphate has been shown to inhibit the activity of several kinases, including protein kinase C, GSK-3β, and ERK1/2 in human cancer cells. It may have therapeutic potential as a targeted therapy for certain types of cancer.
