• Descripción: Desmopressin is a synthetic analog of the natural hormone arginine vasopressin. It has been shown to be effective in the treatment of primary nocturnal enuresis, and a number of studies have reported that desmopressin is an effective therapy for idiopathic nocturnal enuresis. Desmopressin also has effects on water permeability, hemolysis, and protein synthesis. It increases the concentration of camp levels in urine and plasma while also inhibiting erythrocyte aggregation. Desmopressin has been shown to be more effective than placebo in women with primary nocturnal enuresis.
