Descripción:Impurity G is an impurity found in the drug Iohexol. It is a synthetic, amide, propylamine, diacetate and methyl anthranilate. Impurity G has been shown to be a catalyst for the production of iodinated contrast media with high yield. This can be used to make the drug Moxifloxacin hydrochloride, which is used to treat bacterial infections such as pneumonia and bronchitis caused by Legionella pneumophila or Mycoplasma pneumoniae. The chemical compound moxifloxacin has anti-inflammatory properties that are due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis.
