Decarbazolyl desmethyl carvedilol has been shown to be effective against a variety of human cancers, including lung, breast, and prostate cancers. It is also an inhibitor of Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cell kinase activity and can be detected in urine samples. This analog of carvedilol has potential as a therapeutic agent for the treatment of cancer.
