This impurity can be detected in HPLC and GC/MS analyses and has been found in the urine of patients taking mirabegron. The detection limit for this impurity is 10 ng/mL. 2OMGC exhibits pharmacological activity similar to that of its parent compound, mirabegron, which is purported to have antispasmodic and anal sphincter relaxant properties.
