Descripción:3,3'-Bisdemethylpinoresinol is a phenylpropanoid that has been shown to have antioxidant properties. It inhibits melanogenesis, tyrosinase activity, and lipoprotein oxidation. 3,3'-Bisdemethylpinoresinol has also been shown to prevent the oxidation of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, which is thought to be the cause of atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease. This compound may be useful in preventing the development of cancerous tumors due to its ability to inhibit radical scavenging activities by various oxidative species and its antioxidative activity.
