Descripción:Meclofenamate sodium hydrate is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that inhibits cyclooxygenase, lipoxygenase, and phospholipase A 2 . It has been shown to be effective in the treatment of many diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and gout. Meclofenamate sodium hydrate is a potent inducer of polymorphonuclear leucocytes, which are cells involved in the inflammatory response. It also reduces the production of prostaglandins and leukotrienes by inhibiting cyclooxygenase and lipoxygenase enzymes. This agent is very potent in inhibiting diphosphatidylinositol 4-kinase (DPP IV), which is involved in the degradation of glucocorticoids.
