CAS :1,3,4,5-Tetra-O-acetyl-L-sorbopyranose is a modified and complex carbohydrate. It is an oligosaccharide that has been synthesized from D-glucose. The modification of this sugar is accomplished by acetylation of the hydroxyl groups on the 2' and 3' positions of the glucose ring followed by fluorination with elemental fluorine to yield 1,3,4,5-tetra-O-acetyl-L-sorbopyranose.
