CAS :<p>Mps1-IN-2 is a potent and selective inhibitor of the mitotic kinase Mps1. It binds to the ATP-binding site of Mps1 and inhibits its activity, leading to cell death by apoptosis or necrosis. Mps1-IN-2 has shown anti-tumor activity against cancer cells in vitro and in vivo without any significant side effects, making it an attractive candidate for cancer therapy. The crystal structure of Mps1-IN-2 bound to the kinase domain revealed that it binds to a pocket with high affinity, where ATP binding leads to conformational changes that affect the other domains of the enzyme.
