Tylosine

Description :

Tylosine est un antibiotique macrolide principalement utilisé en médecine vétérinaire, en particulier pour le bétail et la volaille, pour traiter les infections bactériennes et favoriser la croissance. Il est dérivé de la bactérie *Streptomyces fradiae* et présente un large spectre d'activité contre les bactéries Gram-positives et certaines bactéries Gram-négatives. Tylosine agit en inhibant la synthèse des protéines dans les bactéries, empêchant ainsi leur croissance et leur reproduction. La substance est généralement administrée sous forme de son sel tartrate, ce qui améliore sa solubilité. Tylosine est connu pour sa toxicité relativement faible chez les animaux, mais son utilisation est réglementée chez les animaux producteurs de nourriture pour prévenir les résidus d'antibiotiques dans les produits carnés. De plus, il a été étudié pour ses applications potentielles en aquaculture et comme additif alimentaire. Sa structure chimique présente un grand anneau lactone, caractéristique des macrolides, qui contribue à ses propriétés antibactériennes. Comme pour de nombreux antibiotiques, l'émergence de la résistance est une préoccupation, nécessitant une gestion prudente de son utilisation dans les pratiques agricoles.
