C 021 dihydrochloride has been shown to be effective in treating myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) in a model system. It also seems to protect against the development of colon cancer and other cancers by inhibiting the growth of tumor cells through its ability to inhibit inflammatory cytokines such as c-c chemokine receptor 2 (CCR2). C 021 dihydrochloride also has regulatory effects on T-cells and leukemia cells, which may be caused by its ability to regulate the production of growth factors.
