    CAS :
    BRD 0705 is a potent inhibitor of autophagy that targets the protein ATG3. This compound was shown to inhibit proliferation and induce apoptosis in cancer cells, as well as reducing the number of β-cells in the pancreas. The mechanism for BRD 0705's effects on cell death may be through its ability to inhibit splicing and promote nonsense-mediated decay of mRNAs, which leads to reduced protein synthesis, cell death, and tumorigenesis. BRD 0705 has also been shown to be effective against human diabetes due to its ability to inhibit β-cell death by inhibiting autophagy.
