  • N-Oleoyl glutamine

    CAS :

    N-Oleoyl glutamine is an analog of the natural amino acid glutamine that has been shown to have potent anticancer properties. It induces apoptosis, or programmed cell death, in cancer cells by inhibiting the activity of certain kinases, which are enzymes that play a key role in cell growth and division. N-Oleoyl glutamine has been studied extensively in Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells and human cancer cell lines, where it has shown promising results as a potential anticancer agent. This compound has also been identified as an inhibitor of dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4), a protein that plays a role in glucose metabolism and is targeted by drugs such as vildagliptin for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. N-Oleoyl glutamine has been detected in urine samples from healthy individuals, suggesting that it may be endogenously produced in humans.
