7-Hydroxycannabidiol (7-HPC) is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid that binds to the cannabinoid receptor CB2. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of ion channels and is used as a research tool for studying the function of ion channels. 7-HPC also inhibits protein interactions, such as antibody-antigen complexes and receptor-ligand interactions. This compound has been shown to be an antagonist at both CB1 and CB2 receptors, meaning that it blocks the binding of other cannabinoids to these receptors.
