  • Fucoxanthinol

    CAS :
Fucoxanthinol is a carotenoid with potent cancer-inhibiting effects. It has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of 3T3-L1 preadipocytes and human leukemia cells. Fucoxanthinol also inhibits the expression of cyclin D2, which is an important protein in cell cycle regulation. The inhibition of this protein may lead to apoptosis and increased sensitivity to chemotherapy drugs. Fucoxanthinol has been shown to be effective against cancer cells that are resistant to standard chemotherapeutic drugs, such as cyclophosphamide and doxorubicin. This compound also potentiates the effect of other carotenoids, such as fucoxanthin, on Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) signaling pathways in epithelial mesenchymal transition (EMT), which can lead to tumor metastasis.
