Description :
Fer, avec le numéro CAS 7439-89-6, est un métal de transition et l'un des éléments les plus abondants sur Terre, principalement trouvé dans la croûte et le noyau terrestre. Il a un numéro atomique de 26 et est représenté par le symbole Fe, dérivé du mot latin "ferrum".
