2-Methyl-5-[(2-methylpiperidin-1-yl)sulfonyl]benzoic acid (CPP) is a potent inhibitor of Kv7 channels, which are voltage-gated potassium channels. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of these channels in both neuronal and non-neuronal cells. CPP is also a ligand for the human acetylcholine receptor, which is involved in the transmission of nerve impulses. CPP has been used as a research tool to study protein interactions and receptor activation.
