    <p>Diethylstilbestrol-d8 is a synthetic estrogen that is used as an analytical standard for the detection of 17β-estradiol and estrone. Diethylstilbestrol-d8 has been used to monitor the synthesis of estrogens in human tissues and to measure the effects of estrogen on target cells. It has been shown that this compound binds to the estrogen receptor, which mediates its effects in a similar manner as natural estrogens. Diethylstilbestrol-d8 is also used to determine if the estrogen receptors are present in a sample. This can be done by measuring the response of cells to diethylstilbestrol-d8 or by measuring its binding to any receptor sites in a sample. Diethylstilbestrol-d8 has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis.</p>
