Peptides

IL-1 beta is a cytokine, which belongs to the IL-1 family of cytokines. It is a proinflammatory cytokine that induces fever and pain, and stimulates the immune system. IL-1 beta binds to the IL-1 receptor, which is a member of the class 1 cytokine receptor family. The binding activates phospholipase A2 and protein kinase C, which leads to an increase in prostaglandin production by cyclooxygenase 2. IL-1 beta also has been shown to inhibit ion channel activity and calcium uptake in cells.
Degré de pureté :Min. 95%Bromoacetamido-dPEG®4-Amido-DBCO

Atosiban is a drug that is used to prevent preterm labor in pregnant women. It works by inhibiting the release of oxytocin from the hypothalamus, which decreases contractions and relaxes the uterus. Atosiban has been shown to be effective in decreasing the incidence of preterm birth in women with bacterial vaginosis who are at high risk for preterm delivery (e.g., those with a history of preterm labor). Clinical trials have shown that it may also be useful as an adjunct therapy in treating women with unexplained infertility and recurrent pregnancy loss. The drug binds to receptors on cells, which inhibits the release of intracellular calcium, thus preventing contraction of uterine muscle cells. This effect can be reversed by administration of estradiol benzoate or other drugs that affect receptor activity. It is not known whether atosiban affects fetal development during pregnancy or if it causes any effects on the mother's heart rate or body mass index after childbirth.
Formule :C43H67N11O12S2Degré de pureté :Min. 95%Carboxyfluorescein-dPEG®24-Amido-dPEG®24-DSPE

Alyerserin-1b is a C-terminally α-amidated 23 residue Cationic anti-microbial peptide (AMP). Anti-microbial peptides (AMPs) are produced by the innate immune system and are expressed when the host is challenged by a pathogen. The Alyerserin family of peptides was first identified in norepinephrine-stimulated skin secretions of the midwife toad-Alytes obstetricans-(Alytidae). Alyteserin-1 peptides have limited structural similarity to the ascaphins from the skins of frogs of the Leiopelmatidae family. Alyteserin-1 peptides are selective at inhibiting growth activity of Gram-negative bacteria-such as Escherichia coli and show weak haemolytic activity against human erythrocytes.Alyteserin contain at least 50% hydrophobic amino acids. Hydrophobic residues contribute to the insertion of the peptide into the hydrophobic membrane core which results in membrane disruption and death of the pathogen. Due to their mechanism of action it is thought to be less likely for resistance to develop towards these peptides compared to conventional antibiotics.
Couleur et forme :PowderMasse moléculaire :2,334.4 g/molAF647 RGD peptide

Collagens are the most abundant family of extra cellular matrix (ECM) proteins, accounting for two-thirds of the dry mass of adult articular cartilage. Several subtypes have been identified including types II, IX, X, XI, VI, XII, and XIV collagen, however 80 to 90% of the collagen in the body consists of types I, II, and III. Collagen is a long thin protein which consists of three coiled subunits: two α1(I) chains and one α2(I). Type 1 collagen forms part of the major structure of the bone, and mutations in the α1(I) or α2(I) genes lead to-osteogenesis imperfecta, or brittle-bone disease.Collagen is cleaved by mammalian tolloid (mTld) and its splice variant- bone morphogenetic protein 1 (BMP1), a metalloprotease and member of the peptidase M12A family enzymes. This peptide contains a FRET (fluorescence or F&ouml-rster resonance energy transfer) pair. N-terminal 5-Carboxyfluorescein (5-FAM), a widely used green fluorescent tag which excites at 495 nm and emits at 517 nm, and a 5-Carboxytetramethylrhodamine-(5-TAMRA), present on the side chain of a C-terminal lysine which has been added to the peptide. 5-TAMRA is a widely used fluorescent dye which excites at 546 nm and emits at 579 nm. In the intact peptide TAMRA quenches the fluorescence of 5-FAM, however upon cleavage of the peptide by a protease such as BMP1, the fluorescence of 5-FAM is recovered and can be monitored.
Masse moléculaire :2,738.1 g/molMOG (35-51) cit46 human

Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) is a member of the immunoglobulin (Ig) protein superfamily and is expressed exclusively in the central nervous system (CNS) on the surface of myelin sheaths and oligodendrocyte processes. MOG is expressed at the onset of myelination, and therefore is a potential marker for oligodendrocyte maturation.MOG contains an extracellular domain, a transmembrane domain, a cytoplasmic loop, a membrane-associated region and a cytoplasmic tail. MOG may function as a cell surface receptor or cell adhesion molecule. -Fifteen different alternatively spliced isoforms have been detected in humans. These are present either on the cell surface, the endoplasmic reticulum in the endocytic system, or in secreted form. The secreted form of MOG may trigger autoimmunity if released into the cerebrospinal fluid and periphery. MOG is thought to be a key target for autoantibodies and cell-mediated immune responses in inflammatory demyelinating diseases such as multiple sclerosis (MS) and is therefore widely studied in this field.Fragment (35-51) of the human MOG can be rapidly degraded by the serine protease CatG. Conversion of arginine 46 to citrulline in this peptide reduces the sensitivity of the citrullinated MOG 35-51 peptide to degradation. SP is expressed by many cell types including: neurons, astrocytes, microglia, epithelial cells, endothelial cells, immune cells such as T cells and macrophages- dendritic cells and eosinophils and some stem cells and progenitor cells. The huge variety of cell types expressing SP suggest it is involved in a wide variety of physiological and pathophysiological functions.SP mediates its functions by interacting with members of the neurokinin (NK) family of G protein-coupled receptors with high selectivity. G-CSF also has a role in stimulating stem cell production and can be used to treat cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. G-CSF binds to receptors on the surface of cells, activating intracellular signaling pathways. The binding of G-CSF to its receptor activates phospholipase C (PLC), which hydrolyzes phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PIP2) into two second messengers: inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate (IP3) and diacylglycerol (DAG). IP3 causes release of calcium from intracellular stores, leading to an increase in cytosolic free calcium concentration.
