    <p>Fmoc-Phe-Ser(Psi(Me,Me)Pro)-OH is a diastereomer of Fmoc-Phe-Ser. It is used as a substrate for peptide synthesis and can be used to synthesize oxytocin receptor antagonists. It has been shown to have high affinity for the oxytocin receptor and inhibits the binding of oxytocin to the receptor by competing with it for the same site on the receptor. This inhibition leads to decreased levels of oxytocin that are responsible for uterine contractions during labour and milk ejection from the breast during breastfeeding. Fmoc-Phe-Ser(Psi(Me,Me)Pro)-OH also has been shown to be useful in filtration techniques such as chlorides, propargylamines, and divalent cyclopentenones.</p>
