Description

9-(b-D-Arabinofuranosyl) guanine is a purine nucleoside in which guanine is attached to arabinofuranose via a beta-N(9)-glycosidic bond. 9-(b-D-Arabinofuranosyl) guanine binds to the phosphate groups in DNA and inhibits the synthesis of DNA causing cell death. It also has antineoplastic properties.
