Description :(2RS)-2-Ethyl-2-methylpentanoic acid is an organic compound that is used to synthesize the drug 2-ethylhexanoic acid. This compound can be obtained by asymmetric synthesis and it has cytosolic activity. It inhibits the growth of tumor cells by inducing necrotic cell death and hemolysis in erythrocytes. It also has endosomal excipients and can be used as a neutral or acidic buffer solution for intravenous injections.
