Description

D-Gluconic acid is a white or colorless crystalline powder that is soluble in water. It has a molecular weight of 144.1 g/mol and its chemical formula is C6H12O7. D-Gluconic acid can be used as an antimicrobial agent, which inhibits the growth of bacteria by disrupting the formation of cell walls and inhibiting protein synthesis. It also has biochemical properties such as glycol ether, wild-type strain, and enzyme activities.
