CAS :IPTG is a gratuitous beta-D-galactosidase inducer. In Escherichia coli IPTG functions by binding to the lac repressor and altering its conformation. This inactivation prevents the repressor binding to the operator of the lac operon and thus the repression of the beta-galactosidase coding gene lacZ. Dioxane Bromonium Bromide inhibits the production of prostaglandins and leukotrienes, which are important mediators of inflammation. The drug binds to the hydroxy group of tyrosine residues in proteins, which leads to inhibition of protein synthesis. It also reacts with chloride ions, forming pyridinium bromide. This reaction prevents the conversion of nitrite ions into reactive nitrogen species such as nitric oxide and peroxynitrite.
