CAS:IRAK4-IN-4 is a research tool for the study of IRAK4. It is an inhibitor that blocks the activity of IRAK4, which is a protein that plays an important role in the activation of NF-κB and MAP kinase pathways. The peptide has been shown to inhibit LPS-induced TNFα production in human monocytes and neutrophils, as well as IL-1β production in mouse macrophages. It has also been shown to inhibit the activation of NF-κB by inhibiting IKKα/β phosphorylation, which usually leads to inhibition of proteasomal degradation of IκBα.
