Isopropil β-D-tiogalattopiranoside (IPTG) è un composto sintetico comunemente usato in biologia molecolare come induttore dell'espressione genica. È un galattoside, specificamente un tiogalattoside, il che significa che contiene un atomo di zolfo al posto dell'ossigeno nella parte di galattosio.
