:Clorofos
Descrizione:
Clorofos, noto anche come clorpirifos, è un insettoacida organofosforato ampiamente utilizzato in agricoltura per il controllo dei parassiti. Funziona inibendo l'enzima acetilcolinesterasi, portando all'accumulo di acetilcolina nel sistema nervoso, il che interrompe la normale funzione nervosa e alla fine porta alla morte dei parassiti. Clorofos è un liquido incolore o giallo pallido con un odore caratteristico ed è moderatamente solubile in acqua. La sua struttura chimica include un anello aromatico clorurato, che contribuisce alla sua efficacia come pesticida. Sebbene sia efficace contro una varietà di insetti, sono state sollevate preoccupazioni riguardo al suo potenziale impatto ambientale e tossicità per organismi non bersaglio, compresi gli esseri umani.
